Wow, this is really cool. I mean, bad – I’m a .net developer.

But it’s really cool. I’m starting to really dislike Microsoft a lot, but this is going to do one of two (maybe three) things:

  1. Microsoft will be forced to keep up and either
    1. fix their AJAX stuff up to be more scalable and extensible
    2. develop their Yahoo! relationship more to keep up with Google (doesn’t Yahoo! utilize Google in some fashion anyway?
  2. Microsoft will have to start some kind of development in another arena, leaving Google to their own works.
    1. that’ll never happen, though, as proven in my earlier posts regarding M$, they’ll just wait until Google perfects something, then copy/capitolize. That’s their SOP: Copy, Capitolize, Repeat.

I don’t know what this means for me as a .net developer, but I’m wishing I took my old friends advice over 5 years ago: Learn PHP, not .net! PHP is going to be bigger and better. I don’t know. Procedural code really puts me to sleep.

Here’s a link to read more about what I found.

I’m a pescimist when it comes to this, I guess. Heck, it’s my bread and butter right now and an industry I don’t plan on staying in. It can be SO frustrating at times! *sigh*
